FAQs - Your Questions Answered

What is it?

GRAVITY EXTREME ADVENTURE High Ropes Course provides a fun day out involving a series of challenging obstacles set at varying heights above the ground. You'll find yourself tackling fun obstacles such as rope bridges, scramble nets, zip wires, swinging logs and balance beams, plus many more!

We now also have GRAVITY JUNIOR, High ropes adventure for the little ones. Gravity Junior is a mini ropes course 6ft off the ground and is idea for kids aged 3, 4, 5 years +! Click here for more details.

Who can do it?

Everyone! GRAVITY EXTREME ADVENTURE High Ropes Course is a huge hit with adults, children, families, stags, hens, individuals, groups, schools and companies. All you need is a willingness to try something new and exhilarating! Some restrictions do apply (see below).

GRAVITY EXTREME ADVENTURE High Ropes Course encourages everyone to have a go. We have designed the course in such a way that it is fully inclusive and our dual zip line is  wheel chair accessible.

Do I need to be fit?

You do need a degree of physical fitness but it's probably easier than you might think. It might reassure you to know that it is very rare for a person to stop because they weren't fit enough.

Are there any restrictions?

If you have any concerns about medical conditions then please give us a call on 053 9424849  otherwise please note that:

  • For safety reasons you must be 1.3 metres or taller of our Gravity main course and 1 metre or taller for Gravity Junior.
  • There is also a weight restriction of 120kg

I'm afraid of heights!

The courses are designed to help you build your confidence as you go along. Here at GRAVITY EXTREME ADVENTURE High Ropes Course we try to help people to conquer their fear of heights. Why not try it – you might surprise yourself.

What should I wear?

Leave the designer outfits at home! No flip flops or sandals are allowed on the course; Runners or ankle-supporting boots are perfect and will help with your footing on the course. For your enjoyment and safety, we recommend loose and comfortable clothing but skirts are a definite no no! You're going to be high in the air after all. Check out the weather forecast for the day and dress accordingly. Some pleople also find wearing gloves helps them on the course.

When should I get there?

Set your alarm clock! It's important to arrive at least 15 minutes before your allocated time slot as the course may be busy. If you are late, we will do all we can to get you into another slot but we can't always promise this, especially on busy days, plus no refunds can be given. The best thing to do is leave in plenty of time.

What if I fall?

Slips are quite common but don't worry, that's half the fun! If you loose your footing, then your safety harness will prevent you from falling, allowing you to get back on and continue.

We have special child harnesses, helmets and safety lines for the little one on Gravity Junior too!

How long does it take?

This varies dramatically your level of confidence, people in front of you and the number of people on the course. As a general guide however, we recommend you allow around 1.5 - 2hrs for you to experience all the elements of the Adventure High Ropes Course however you may complete the course a lot quicker if you are more confident.

Gravity Junior takes about 20 minutes for small kids to complete. Again some kids are faster then others though. If time allows on their session however they can go around more then once!

What happens in bad weather?

The great Irish weather likes to keep us on our toes but luckily GRAVITY EXTREME ADVENTURE High Ropes Course & Gravity Junior are all weather courses and you can have just as much fun in the rain as you can in the sun.

No refunds are given if you have booked and paid but choose not to go on or complete the course due to bad weather

On rare occasions we may need to close the course (or part of the course) at short notice due to lightning or extremely high winds for safety reasons. Should this happen, we will contact you as soon as possible, book you in for an alternative day or fully refund your booking or part of your booking that was effected.

What if I cannot complete the whole course?

Instructors will always be on hand to help you if you have difficulty on any part of the course. Unfortunately no refunds are given if you fail to complete the course.

Do I need to book in advance?

We strongly recommend that you book in advance as we can get very busy, especially during peak periods, such as weekends and school holidays.

Payment is required at time of booking.

Is it safe?

In one word; YES! All you need to do is follow our simple training instructions and you'll have a safe and fun time. Before you get going, you'll receive a full safety brief and then your off! The course does however, consist of fun but challenging obstacles so there is a risk of minor injury (e.g. bruises and scrapes). Our highly trained instructors are also on the course at all times to help you along.

Can my son/daughter go round the course alone?

Yes, as long as they are 1.3 metres or taller (main course) or 1 metre + (Junior course). However, children under 14 years old must have an adult (over 18 years old) present on site at all times while on the course. But it is so much more fun for them when their parents/guardians join in too!
